I've been banging on a 4 string bass since high school, on 1 of about 6 I've ever owned, you know, back when you thought you were going to be the next Geezer Butler or Steve Harris, ya... that didn't happen. One can dream right...? After the trip around the sun, not a lot of room left for fame and fortune... not at this point unless corrupt politician is your thing of course.

I essentially have the worst setup known to man... but makes my day so there is that. I play a Spector NS-2 (the old Korean version) thin strings Super Slinky 100's... switched to Mesa/Boogie gear recently (from GK, which was a switch from Ampeg, which was a switch from SWR), a Subway 2x10 600-watt 8-ohm cabinet with a Subway 1x15 400-watt 8-ohm cabinet. Powered by a Subway D-800 Lightweight 800-watt head, I have 2 heads actually, I started the whole bi-amp adventure, but for covers was pointless. So now I call it a back-up head.

Then there is the... pedals; from a Shure QLXD4 digital wireless I use a:

• Peterson StroboStomp HD tuner
• DigiTech Drop Polyphonic Drop-tune
  - Which sounds like but good in a pinch for half/whole step shifts...
• MXR CSP101SL Script Phase 90 Pedal
  - For those Stranglehold moments...
• Tech 21 dUg Pinnick signature bass distortion pedal
  - More like a preamp...
• Tech 21 Killer Blue Wail bass wah
• Radial ProDI

All sits on my board....

Oh ya... I see ya cringin'...
